Dachauer Wasserturm
A cooperative exhibition with the artist and photographer Anne Stolmár, showing portrait and landscape photography from Tanzania as well as paintings from Tanzania, alongside information about the role of the woman in Tanzania and Germany.
Here we poetically arranged the "Women's landscapes" artworks by Anne Stolmár alongside the artworks the girls from Kayanga Primary School created about their dreams. This meant for the artists: The artworks inspired one another and left room for interpretation by the spectator.
A Tanzanian healer and the dream to be a doctor
Group work by Royce, Jackline, Shamira, Daines, Salome and Sajida - they want to become sports women; next to it the portraits of a girl and a young woman by Anne Stolmár
On this floor we arranged fact sheets, blog entries and accounts of the children alongside Anne's photographic portraits about the dreams and aims of Tanzanians and Germans.
Alexandra conducted the "Dreams of the Future"-Workshop once at Kayanga Primary School and once at Maria-Ward-Realschule in Munich. Here you can see how similar some of the dreams were: There was a group of girls in both schools who wanted to work in the environment (be a farmer/ be someone who protects the environment).
Stadtteilwochen Neuhausen-Nymphenburg
The girls in Tanzania and Germany made wonderful artworks on their dreams of the future which we exhibited alongside each other with some additional information on the project.
We also showed a part of Anne Stolmár's work "Life Goals in Tanzania and Germany" which consists of interviews and portrait photographs of people from Tanzania and Germany.
